The goal? To support a sustainable model: the second-hand sector.

ALL your items stay in France

The items you sell with The Second Life stay in France!
To reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation, we support the circular economy by promoting local channels while giving your items a second life.

Reducing our carbon footprint

Since 2021, thanks to your support, we have avoided 18,500 tons of CO₂ emissions by reducing the demand for manufacturing new items.

Buying second-hand clothing reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 80%, compared to buying new clothing.

Promoting the circular economy

With more than 500,000 items resold in four years, we are helping to reduce the amount of waste generated.

Each purchased product is either recirculated by our partners (in marketplaces, second-hand corners, etc.), donated to charities, recycled, or upcycled.

Raising awareness and educating

Through our awareness-raising efforts, more than 100,000 people have been informed about the benefits of second-hand shopping through our communication campaigns and events.

We have organized more than 250 collection events to collect our customers’ items and educate them about more sustainable consumption.

What happens to my items after a sale?

It's repurchased:

Your items will find a new life in France, through our partners’ resale channels: major retailers, specialized resale sites, or certain recycling centers.

It's not repurchased:

Don’t panic!

Your items will be recycled, upcycled, or donated to local charities:

And what does that mean in concrete terms?

Since the Second Life adventure began in 2021, thanks to all of you,
more than 500,000 items have found a second life!
